Hello Everyone! I am a newbie and am just starting to make changes in my diet, as I wait for the delivery of my Kind Diet book, and am also a runner training for another marathon. I would love to hear tips and resources from other runners with regards to eating vegan while training (long runs) and the foods, energy supplements (Gu?) used while running. I also am curious about finding a vegan protien powder or protien drink...anyone know of a great brand? Thanks so much! I appreciate any feedback!
Lifes Balance makes a pea protein powder with greens in it. It's pretty good in smoothies with fruit and there's no added sugar. As for supplements, I have been taking Maca for about 3 months now to help combat my monthly migraines. It's also supposed to increase your energy levels. Between that, workouts, and my Vegan diet, I feel pretty energized throughout the day. I'm certainly not a marathon runner, but I do modest runs 2-3 days a week. Best of luck!
