Anyone want to share ideas on where to eat healthy vegan/macro lunches during the work week?I work in the East Village and am constantly looking through online menus for a good place, but always end up going to Whole Foods, which I don't feel great about. I'll bring a lunches too, but I get tired on room temperature rice, beans and greens.
Let's share ideas!

I've only been to New York City once, but I ate at Red Bamboo in Greenwich Village maybe 4 times over the course of 3 days. I loved it! It's all vegan. The roast beef sandwich was my favorite. They also have some of the best fries I've ever tasted and amaaazzing vegan desserts! Definitely check it out.

In my opinion, Red Bamboo is a comfort food spot.
Try Souen's macro plate. Order it once.. you'll go back everyday! Also, Gobbo has great lunch options (west village). Depending on where you work, how about Lifethyme (or go on the wkd). Use www.yelp.com and put "vegan lunch" into the search engine. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

Hey Lizzy,

This may be a bit far from your office but there is a great vegan market/cafe called earthmatters on Ludlow between Houston and Stanton. They have great food! :) Also, another one of my fav restos is called Wild Ginger on 380 Broome street.
