I'm new and don't know much about being a vegan. I love cheese, eggs, and salmon so much! I used to be a vegetarian, but went back to eating fish. I want to know if it's healthy to be a vegan. I've heard many different views because our bodies need certain nutrients from fish. I also wanted to know if you can actually cook these vegan meals and be able to afford it. Thank you for any input!

Hi Tara,

I am fairly new to the vegan lifestyle as well. It is extremely healthy for you and affordable. It will take time to stock up your pantry with certain ingredients...I have found that once you start adding certain ingredients it will last a long while. Getting used to the vegan way, at least for me, is more of a mind-set, it's changing our thinking, it's re-thinking what has been the norm. Aside from Alicia's book, The Kind Diet (which is so inspiring and is the reason I have decided to become vegan) I recommend reading Christina Pirello's This Crazy Vegan Life, it will clear some questions you have concerning nutrients, etc... This website is also great for even more tips!!!
