i dont know why this is. ive been doing this for almost 2 1/2 weeks. not doing it for weight loss (though i could use it) just because i wanted to stop eating animals. im still flirting with dairy, and i have by no means been a saint. definitely eating better than i was, but dont know that im actually eating less fat (did you know tempeh has 11 grams of fat per serving??)
anyway, its the damndest thing, i totally feel smaller. i feel like my pants fit me differently- and i wear scrubs everyday, very unforgiving!. i've lost 2 pounds but c'mon, thats not it. im worried that maybe im losing muscle mass or something and thats why??
Hi Krysten. I went through something similar. I never understood it before when people who don't eat meat would say that they feel 'lighter in their bodies'. But now that I gave it up a month ago, I know exactly what that means now. I don't think I've lost any weight, but my whole body just feels lighter. I feel less bogged down. It's nice!
Yes! I totally feel like I'm getting smaller, but when I get on the scale I'm maybe a couple of pounds lighter (i don't really need to lose any weight). Anyway, I feel as though I may be losing muscle mass too, despite working out on a regular basis. So weird! I'm thinking maybe my body has to adjust to utilizing vegetable protein in an effecient way after eating animal protein for so long.
I agree - i went vegetarian almost 5 years ago and feel much much lighter and slimmer!! i guess its because meat is so dense and heavy and travels sooo slowly through our digestive system.
Hello. I just went vegetarian about a month ago and I am feeling this way. My husband even said to me around the second week that he's noticed that I've lost weight. However, I absolutely have not lost any weight, in fact I think I gained like two pounds. I was so shocked when I went to weight myself and saw this cause I don't understand. Honestly, I feel like i've lost 10 pounds and I lose weight in my stomach first and my stomach is reflecting weight loss, but the scale isn't. Very strange.
