I saw only the end of the information about the book yesterday on TV while home from work, ill.

I am 51, about 130 lbs and I have had a lot of digestive problems since birth and wanted to look for something other than medication and surgery.

I had my first ulcer in 3rd grade and then bypass surgery at age 30 and 160 lbs, which was to eliminate the chronic errosion of my esophogus and upper stomach. I still have major problems. I have IBS and go between diarrhea or not being to go at all without laxative. I'm usually miserable after I eat. I eat practically everything. I'm not big on beef. I eat small meals and usually snack on a trail-mix I make with about 8 different nuts and 4 dried fruits. Sometimes crackers and tea are all my stomack can handle.

I am very busy with work, I am the one at my house that has to take care of EVERYTHING, I have 7 grandchildren of which I provide an escape from a traumatizing lifestyle for 4 of the youngest and have raised the 16 yr old from age 4. This limits the amount of time I put into food selection and prep. I do try to raise a garden each year but because of time limits and lack of knowledge I haven't managed to preserve or can my fresh vegetables.

I need good advice that is simple to implement.
