My name is Alesia (like Alicia but spelled differently). I have been health conscious my entire life. I have been on a strict organic diet through my life. However, I hadn't done a complete vegan diet. After reading The Kind Diet, I am hooked. I never thought I could do this diet but it has been incrediably easy. The food is delicious and I don't feel cheated. I feel amazing and have had more energy than I ever imagine.
My biggest concerns were sugar intake due to a family history of diabetes. Luckily, I have kept this in check, keep my sugar intake low and this has resulted in not having a problem with sugar. Another concern has been my bowel movements (sorry, TMI). I have been backed up on and off for years. It is extremely uncomfortable and controlled my life; I think this is why I identified with Alicia so much. After starting this diet a few months ago, I have regular movements and I am finally at peace. My skin is glowing and I feel like I am 20 again, even though I am only 28, lol. Until a few years ago I maintained a healthy weight. My 89 year old grandmother moved in with me and my husband. I allowed stress to consumed my life. I felt like I was 50 years old and it showed to everyone. Now, I am back to being the old me, healthier and loving myself again.
I worried about switching my husband over to the diet as he is a little weird about this stuff; But he hasn't even noticed. It's funny because he eats what I give him and he is amazed after I tell him what he is eating. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story and this amazing, life-changing way to eat. I appreciate it more than words can say.
Much Love,
Alesia Lange
