Hey everyone! I saw Alicia Silverstone on Oprah the other day and thought I'd check this out. We have 4 daughters, and our youngest, who turned 2 in December, has a severe milk/dairy intolerance (along with some sensitive stomach issues?) and so I thought "The Kind Diet" would definitely be something to look into. Since discovering the intolerance, we have had to become hypervigilant about reading labels, and basically, avoid anything that comes in a box. I have learned to cook everything from scratch so that she can eat what we eat. (Though, I have had my own moments of weakness with mac-n-cheese...I am a sucker for Stouffers Mac-n-Cheese!) Anyway, currently I am at a point of wanting to potty-train, and her stomach issues complicate that process. On average, I change at least 2-3 "not-so-pleasant" diapers daily...we're talking no solidity to the "stuff" WHATSOEVER. Pediatricians keep telling me that everyone's "stuff" is different, but I know this can't be normal. It has to be related to diet, right? I am looking to change her (and therefore, our) diet, without sacrificing the nutritrients her little body needs. She is little for her age anyway (24 pounds but not underweight at all) and so I worry about making sure she is getting what she needs nutritionally. I hope this website is the guidance I am looking for :)
