HI Everyone! I am from San Diego, CA, and I am so excited to start a whole new lifestyle in the morning. I have always been huge on veggies, whole grains, and lean protein. I'm a big runner, and live for hot yoga! I love anything active and outdoors. I am a healthy person (or so I thought) haha! :) My mom watched Oprah last week and called me up to tell me about the book. Thinking I could "flirt" and cut out all the sugar, and try some recipes. I love feeling healthy, but sugar is my main problem. I can go weeks with eating so healthy, then I binge on frozen yogurt, candy, cookies, etc! I can ALWAYS tell how bad I feel after, and keep on craving more! Then I cut it completely out, and the cycle continues. I sure many can relate! I am so excited to cut that all out and use maple syrup and everything it explains in the book. As I started to read the book more, I decided I want to try being Vegan. I eat meat maybe twice a week, eggs every few days, and I don't think it will be anything I will really miss or crave. I am having a hard time with some of the ingredients in the book but I am going to go to whole foods tomorrow. Also, a little confused on proportion size of some of the dishes. I have always kept my grains in a smaller proportion, and in the book it seems like that should be the bigger part of your meal. How much is too much? I am so excited for this challenge and hope to feel great, and see some changes! Any advice from people who have been doing this for a while; recipes, grocery stores, etc I would really appreciate it!Kellie
