good seasonings for beans and rice

I am looking for some good seasoning ideas for beans and rice, either together or separate.

I eat a lot of beans and a lot of rice, they are my staples because I do not eat tofu. I am getting kinda blah about beans and rice and am wondering how everyone seasons theirs?
