How does everyone feel about sugar-free drink mixes, like Crystal Light? I find that using them makes it easier to drink water throughout the day, and curb my sugar cravings. Any thoughts?

I used to drink a lot of crystal light as well ... they are so good! But, I kinda used them as a stepping stone to try and drink more water. Now that I am drinking lots of water I try to use them less and less and now I just have them in the house for times of weakness. Just knowing that they are there and that I could have them, makes me crave them a lot less.

Cheers!

Crystal Light has Aspartame in it which is known to cause cancers and autoimmune disorders. I would highly recommend NOT drinking anything that uses artificial sweeteners. Try bubbly water and squeezing lemon or lime or orange into it. Much better for you without the use of artificial sweeteners!

Another thing to consider is that I have gotten MAJOR migraines from drinking or eating anything with sugar substitutes. If anyone is getting headaches and is drinking/eating anything with sugar substitutes (including gum!), that could be a major factor why.

Update! I found a product called "True Lemon" that can be added to water for a lemonade-like drink. It used crystallized lemon and stevia...no sugar or artificial sweeteners.
