Hi - my name is Ann and this site looks great....I want to encourage everyone who is just starting this lifestyle- its hard to make changes in what we are so used to doing, but once you get used to it its really not hard to do- hang in through that adjustment period of strange foods and "crap, I have to pack my lunch to bring???" - it is SO worth it and it will become second nature! I have been eating a mostly vegan diet that includes organic foods with no processed sugar for the past 20ish years (I say mostly because in the past five years I have occasionally eaten fish). I started eating like this as the result of illness in my late teens, and when I saw the impact it had on my health, never went back! It transformed my life, and my relationship to everything around me. I don't think people realize how much power they have over their own health and well being through what they eat. One of my favorite quotes, taken from the guy working at the solar powered tofu bus at a music festival, sums it up for me: The revolution is a lifestyle, not a war! We literally are what we eat, it is something we do every day and to do it with intent - for our own good health and for the good health of the world around us - is indeed a daily revolution. Not that I have a strong opinion on any of this......:)
