Can anyone recommend a laundry detergent? I've trided the Ecos brand but found it left oil marks on my clothes and didn't clean the kids clothes well.

Just fyi, I saw laundry detergent at Trader Joes the other day. I didn't need any, so I didn't really check it out, but their stuff is usually vegan and not tested on animals. They even had the HE type.

Method is a great laundry detergent. The Method furniture spray is wonderful and love the way it smells.

I use this great vegan laundry detergent that I purchased on etsy.com. Etsy shop is showertreatsoap.etsy.com

The shop owner is Laura... she is super friendly and extremely helpful! I use the tangerine scented soap!

We have used Method laundry detergent and they also have a scent free kind. It can be found at Target.

Okay, I'll be notifying my man that Tide is off our list. It never occured to me that laundry detergent would be tested on animals. It just makes me realize I need to check everything I'm using/doing. Cruelty can creep in anywhere, I sadly realize now. I can at least be responsible for myself. I love this website as you kind people are so well informed. I should have thought to check this sooner. I'm using "Earth Friendly Products" Orange Plus Cleaner for general cleaning, (contains coconut oil, orange oil, corn, & water) as well as baking soda and vinegar. (&elbow grease!) I will have to try the laundry detergent you have recommended. We are lucky to have a Trader Joe's nearby.

I have had for years the front load machines. Even before they had front load laundry detergents. I found a great one at Costco which is biodegrateable and HE. It comes clear, fragrance free as well. I love it and my clothes come out cleaner than any product I once used long ago like Tide. Plus my clothes come out smelling so fresh and clean not perfumed which I love. It's economical as well :) Love it

There is also Ms. Meyer's Clean Day. This stuff works great and smells awesome. Several different aromas- natural of course.
Recently someone was demo-ing something at WF called soapnuts. I got a sample and it seems good. You might google it and see if you can get it online, I think he said you could.
