Im not sure if there's already a post on this, but I've been anemic for a long time, and I find the meds make me super tired, and break out. I know that greens are a good source of iron, but is there any other foods you guys know of to amp iron? Im feeling just a bit sluggish, and I know it has more to do with the anemia than anything else. Thanks guys!
Avacados are high in iron.
Raw cashes are good too.
Also, just curious, do you drink coffee and/or black tea and/or pop? All three of these suck iron out of your body, so eliminating them from your diet (if you haven't already) could help.
Plus tofu I believe is also a good source of iron. Let's see....oh and I have heard to definitely try and get vitamin c in with your iron at the same time, because it helps with its absorption.
