Hi Alicia and Kind Ones -

I may soon have the opportunity to pick up a few important staples (equipment-wise) for cooking kinder food, from TKD and beyond, and I've love your help. Take a gander at this little list I've started, and lemme know what you'd add/change/subtract:

Pressure Cooker/Rice Cooker (same thing?)
steamer basket
cast iron skillet
Powerful but NOT EXPENSIVE blender/processor (I just can't afford a Vitamix - what do you suggest?)

I have this blender combo from Hamilton Beach that I really like. It has a small (1/2 cup) 'processor' blender / beaters and a blending wand. It's fab and does lots of jobs. Down side is the processor is small.

As far as I know a pressure cooker and rice cooker aren't the same thing. I have never used either, though I do remember my Mum cooking beets in the pressure cooker and the rocker spurting off and us having a lovely pick ceiling for a few weeks.

Cheers Beki

LOL - hey I like pink, but I wouldn't love it on my ceiling either! Thanks so much, the Hamilton Beach sounds helpful, but so true, 1/2 cup sounds just TINY - LOL!

Pressure cooker and rice cooker are not the same thing. I love my rice cooker but I'd go for the pressure cooker and a steamer basket.
