hi Mary, I assume you are not pregnant since you are getting this condition on a regular basis.
There is evidence to suggest that these discolorations are associated with menstrual hormones. These superhero plan is a powerful way to balance the female hormonal system. Those patients that adhere to a whole foods, plant-based diet plan like the superhero plan find hormonally related disorders commonly resolved. Unfortunately with a disorder such as this it could take a few months for the results to become apparent on the skin in your face ( and I'm assuming your face was affected because most women would ignore it if it occurred elsewhere).

Hi Justin, Thanks for quick response. I am waiting for my book to arrive as i was unable to buy it locally. This is all new territory for me. My daughter ( she is 6) and i are off dairy for about 6mos. and have seen tremendous results within our bodies. i am now on a path for finding overall wellness and this site seems like a great start. My face is the area that is affected. i will go forward with your suggestions. Thank You

skin lightening creams like metaderm work also for melasma. it causes the patches to fade away. you might want to give it a try. i didn't know that melasma could be caused by hormonal changes of a female. thanks for an informative post.
