I just ordered a food processor (finally!) and am super pumped about making my own nut butters, like almond and cashew. Those are pretty straight forward, but can anyone tell me a good vegan recipe for homemade peanut butter? Is it made the same way?

Thanks so much!

Years ago, I tried making my own almond butter with little success. (It was ok; I don't think I processed long enough.) I can't wait to try this method. http://www.rawmazing.com/recipes/raw-recipe-almond-butter/ You can use any nut you want--just leave out the honey or replace with a kinder sweetener. Good luck! Let me know how is turns out.

Ok great, thanks Allie! I've seen that recipe as well, and it's one of the reasons why I'm so excited to test out my food processor. I'll keep you posted on how it turns out...

Hmm, I purchase mine but the only ingredient is peanuts so if I was going to try making it I would just put in peanuts. Oh, and my almond butter is only almonds too.

Let us know how it turns out!
