Vegan cake for Valentine's Day.

Just wondered if anyone has a cake recipe. I've got a cute heart-shaped cake pan I thought I'd use to bake a few cakes for my family & friends. I saw 'My Favorite Cupcakes' from the book, and wondered if I could just use that recipe? It looks pretty good, and it's nut free (important as my nephew is highly allergic to peanuts, almonds, walnuts, etc.)

I made the cupcakes this past week and they were delicious. I think you could make them into a cake but you probably need to bake it a little longer. I did not try the chocolate frosting in the book but it is probably delicious.
