I live in Canada, haven't been able to plant anything outdoors yet, but next week I expect to plant Hollyhock flowers, leeks, and arugula. Indoors I have planted black violas.

Last years basil and marigolds will be back.

Next month I'll plant rhubarb swiss chard, red kale, beets, and carrots.

I will also plant more marigolds (different variety), alyssum, and saucer vine to climb on our porch screen.

Knoxville girl - I just ordered a book called The Bountiful Container. It's about having a container garden when you don't have much space. I'll let you know if it seems helpful, though it did get good reviews.

Hi at all,

Due to the fact that I come from Germany, please excuse my (horrible) english.

In my country it is not very hot in summer thats why I plant uncomplicated stuff.

Last year I started with zucchini, Tomatos, Onions, habaneros and green beans. In addition to this I got an apple tree, quince tree and a cherry tree and also reaped raspberry, currant and strawberry.

This year I will try to plant spinach, because I dont like deep-frozen stuff. Also garlic, cuke, lettuce and radish.

I hope you understood what I was trying to say ^^

We are in the middle of Autumn here, so two days ago we planted cabbage, kale (already sprouted!!), dill, basil, onions, pak choy, snow peas, peas, shallots, parsley, carrots - wow there are 7 more, I just can't think what they are at the moment! I think I need the vegies to fix my memory.

I just started my own little herb garden! I was sick of all the packaging I got when I bought herbs at the store. Now I have beautiful plants, and wonderful herbs to add to my food.
check it out!

It's so much fun and I'm excited to start putting dill on EVERYTHING!

I really love growing mint in a garden. I began to try to grow mint in containers but the just seemed so unhappy in those containers...they were striving for more of mother earth's love...hehehe..

Mints are fun to grow and are wonderful in the garden. After I planted them I discovered a lot army of weeds. I thaught that they were the "Swiss Mint" that I had planted but they didn't taste like mint so I figured out that they were just weeds.

I grow lots of green leafy vegetables. I have 36 dino kale plants 6 green cabbages, 6 red cabbage, collard greens, red russian kale, curley kale, 2 dufferent types of arugula.

I have 2 blueberry plants, but they have not grown any berries. About 42 everbarring albion strawberry plants, spinich, cilantro, 16 basil, purple petra, 4 dark mizuna lettuce, 2 peppermint plants, swiss mint, spearmint fenugreek, red swiss chard, garlic, differenty types of lettuce's, lemon balm, parsley, amaranth, edamame, zucchini squash (for raw pasta), quinoa (if they didn't start to grow I'll try to germinate some seeds.)

I have a tone of purslane growing and I didn't even plant them.

I've tried to grow bell peppers and broccoli but I none have appeared to grow.

I try to keep my gardening as organic as I can.
