pots, pans and cookware?

Hi All,
I am wondering what everyone uses for cookware on the stove and in the oven? I have heard the Teflon provides some chemical toxins and should be avoided. I want to be environmentally friendly as well as body friendly. My husband and I are planning to purchase new cookware soon and I thought that I would see what everyone recommends?
Thanks!
I love the Le Creuset stuff - chemical free and really beautiful. Just don't drop it on your foot like I did yesterday.....that stuff is heavy! It isn't cheap, so I ask for pieces of it at holidays, and occasionally find some in TJ Max. Go figure. Baking sheets are a lot tougher - hard to find ones without the silicone coating. I finally got some pure metal ones and use the unbleached parchment paper on them when I bake to avoid the "stick". I'm also saving all my empty almond butter jars and using them instead of plastic tupperware for the same reason - trying to avoid the toxins in all that crap. Oh - and of course, I love my huge cast iron pan!
I found an incredible all clad stainless steel set that is amazing, as good as the very expensive brand and was chosen by Cooks Illustrated last year as the best value in all clad Stainless steel cookware. It is called Tramontina all clad stainless steel. It comes in a set of 8 for (you won't believe this) $150.00! We have really loved it. I bought my son and DIL a set too. They also love it. It looks really nice, cooks very well and cleans up really well. You need to remember to let it cool down completely before immersin it in water to clean. Stainless steel does spot easily and this helps, I also use a non toxic, non abrasive scouring powder called Bon Ami on it. Don't substitute any of the others if you want non-toxic.
And like the last two posters, I also love cast iron and stoneware.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Waterless Stainless Steel Cookware!! Not totally waterless but all you do is rinse off your veggies, add a tbsp of water and bring to temp ( it will whistle when it reaches the right temp not to destroy your food), shut the whistle off and VOILA! Yummy veggies with all the minerals and nutrients your body craves. Water is awesome for us but is damaging to our foods when cooked at high temperatures such as boiling or steaming. They are made of a high quality 7ply stainless steel, no sticking or burning because of the quality. Yes they are expensive but come with a lifetime warranty. I believe you get what you pay for and they start at around $1500 I think. I do have a contact so if your interested let me know. You will not be disappointed!! :-)
