I bought Tamari .. is there a big taste difference between Tamari & Shoyu? Meaning can I just substitute tamari for shoyu in Alicia's recipes???

Hi Michelle,

I think the only difference is that Shoyu contains wheat, and Tamari doesn't (which is obviously good if you're on a gluten-free diet).

I have Tamari leftover from a failed attempt at a GF diet, and I use it wherever a recipe calls for Shoyu (or regular soy sauce, for that matter), and they have turned out perfectly fine and scrumptious :-)

Thank you Tara !! Now I don't have to keep both on-hand.
