Okay, so I'm super excited to be telling everyone that in case you don't know, Earth Hour 2010 will be taking place in 33 days, so mark your calendars!
Earth Hour is this WONDERFUL global event that hundreds of millions of people in countries all over the world participate in, and they all do it from the comfort of their own homes! Well, some do it from the comfort of their work offices or national monuments like the Eiffel Tower but... :)
Anyway, on Saturday, March 27, 2010, at 8:30 p.m., lots and lots and lots of people will be turning out their nonessential lights for one hour to show their support for sustaining Earth and finding ways to end climate change and global warming.
Basically, its a symbolic movement toward change, it's totally rad, and I'm so stoked to be participating again this year!
Check out earthhour.org to learn more & register. You can also take a peek at the official Earth Hour 2010 video on the site or Youtube. It is truly moving. Dude. I. Cried. I hope it moves you too. Lets all join together to celebrate this beautiful earth!
peace&<3

My idiot redneck neighbor turned on all her lights to protest Earth Day! She told me not to bother turning mine off because she would negate( my word, not hers) any effect turning mine off would have. Thankfully she moved out in July and now i have good neighbors. And I did turn mine out ,by the way.

good for you! and bad for your neighbor being a weenie. Some people just don't get it. I think all we can do is hope that one day they will :)
