Hello! I'm just starting on the veggie path and have noticed that I am much more hungry more often than usual. I will eat a meal and then a little while later I am hungry again. I'm also not getting the same 'full' feeling that I would when I ate meat and dairy, which I know is just that I'm not being weighed down but I miss feeling full!! I went the other day to donate blood and they told me I couldn't as my iron was too low. I've been trying to eat well rounded meals but feel maybe I'm not doing it right! Are there any suggestions for lunches I could take to work that would make me feel more full so I can make it through the day without eating the wrong things?
It's not superhero, but I snack on nuts a lot during the work day. It keeps me sane and full. I also carry kashi bars. Love them!
One of my fave ez meals, breakfast or lunch, is a tofu scramble in a wrap. I saute kale and mushrooms, crumble in tofu, add some soy, and put in a wrap. so ez to wrap in foil and reheat, with some fruit, it's a full hot filling meal, adding brown rice is even better, toss in sesame/pumpkin seeds... I pretty much take any leftovers and put it into quick ez wraps. Lentil stew with brown rice, and spinach/kale/lettuce/collards, beans and rice with greens, leftover stirfry, add a little tofu cream and it's like a whole new meal from the leftovers. Have an apple/banana at the office with nut butters and your favorite nuts, or I like the kashi honey flax bars... hope these ideas help. If your really stressing there is just something about a bit glass of chocolate soy milk or almond milk. I've been making my own almond milk, add a little maple syrup and it's sweet, yummy, and feels a bit heavy so it stays with you so you're not hungry in 30 minutes. good luck!

Thanks for the responses guys. I slipped last night and ordered take out garlic fingers :( Bad I know but still no meat! The low iron thing is what bothers me the most I think as I have never in my life had low iron!!
Try Unsweetened Almond Breeze Milk I have and Iron deficency to and for me at least it helps not only to balance each meal, but also to take this milk as it has added Iron. Good Luck.
