Brown discharge

Hello everyone,
Two weeks ago I started my vegan journey (I have been a vegetarian for 11 years) and since then I have been doing great! Better skin, more energy and a feeling of freedom and enjoyment towards food. However, two days before I took my last anticonception pill, I have been having some brown discharge. I was wondering if any of you have some experiences with this and if it can be caused by the change of my diet?
Thanks!

I am going to post this in two different places because neither one of you has gotten a response yet. First of all, I think there should be a section for Women's Health and I am going to suggest this to the Kind Life webmaster. I think there should be a place for women to talk about this and Pregancy and Illness just doesn't really cover it.

I have been vegetarian since mid Jan. Mostly vegan for the last three weeks. It's a very new journey to me. Alicia wrote about mucus discharge and detox. Does this happen to women too with their cycles? Does the discharge/detox thing happen with the uterus too? I have had some unusual discharge (nothing scary or weird really, just not the norm for me lately in life) in the past month at times and now my period has come almost a week early. On the plus side, although my period is a normal flow (heavy in the beginning), I have had minimal to no cramping. I am kind of surprised the flow is normal and early, I would have thought the opposite with such a major lifestyle change that has actually included a small amt of weight loss (tho I am normal weight so I don't expect to lose much weight going vegan). I am 35 and have three children.
