I am curious as what to do with the chicken & pork chops I currently have in my freezer. I don't really have anyone to donate them to and I feel guilty throwing them out - they were expensive and it feels as if the animal really did die in vain if I just toss them in the garbage. However, I no longer have a desire to eat them either . . . What did you do? (I have no problem with the pantry items, they are all ready to go to the soup kitchen at a local church.)
Hey Jessica - I would recommend giving them away to a friend/neighbour/family member close by who still eats meat. It's better to know that the food is being used rather than throw it away...and it may lead to a great discussion about dietary choices! You may end up telling someone, who tells someone else, etc., etc., about ethical eating practices.
