Is anyone out there using Spirulina as a supplement?
I am a new (2 months) vegan and found a reference to this in another book, but I didn't see it mentioned in The Kind Diet.

I use it in my green shakes. It has a tremendous amount of protein.

I take spirulina every day. A naturopath suggested it instead of a multi vitamin. I take some in the morning and some before bed, I take it in a pressed capsule. I was also told by aholisitic nutritionist to take a couple before each meal because it helps suppress the appitite naturally. That's why I chose to take it in the evening before bed to help the urge to snack latenight.

I use Both chlorella and spirulina. I use those two and ground flax seed in my fruit smoothies with my dinner. I cant taste it, but my boyfriend says he can. They are full of nutrients, and cleansing properties, alot of people take them when they are on a cleanse. although, dont take these before you work out. They are full of fiber as well, and can make you go to the bathroom sooner then normal. Try it out first and see how you feel. They come from a single cell alge, and everyone knows how good alge is good for just about everything, and it grows really fast so eat lots! If you have ever had Odwalla superfood, these are what makes it green. its a big part of the "super" in superfood. There is a ton of other reshearch on the internet!

Yep, I love it! Much better than a factory-made multi-vitamin.
