hey for any New Yorkers- there's going to be a showing of The Cove in NYC on Tues, 3/9- and Ric O'Barry (star of the movie, biggest dolphin advocate ever!!) is going to BE THERE! he and louis psihoyos (producer of the movie) are going to be doing a panel discussion after the movie! and it's only $11 for tickets. i've already bought mine, so excited! thought some others might be interested also. here's the link- http://asiasociety.org/events-calendar/cove-screening-and-director-discussion

if you don't know about The Cove, it's a documentary about the annual dolphin capture & slaughter in a small coastal town in Japan. it was being done in secret, and Ric & his amazing team fought for years to bring it to the public light. he finally succeeded w/ this film, and now it's up for the Oscar for best documentary!!!
