I don't want to scare anyone but what you are about to read is true.
The EPA in the USA has banned a total of 8 chemicals and has not banned any chemicals since the 196o's. The EPA in Europe has banned about 1000 chemicals. The USA has become a dumping ground when it comes to toxic and carcinogenic chemicals, that are in almost every product we buy that has a nice smell. American laundry detergent, fabric softener and dryer sheets are some of the worst offenders. But most American hair shampoo, conditioner, shave cream, tooth paste, make up, moisturizing creams, deodorant, air fresheners, etc all contain known carcinogens and other toxic chemicals. Most of these are applied to our skin and then is washed down the drain to pollute our waters. Most of these American brand name products are banned in Europe because of the toxic chemicals that are banned there. Every American Man Woman and Child, have 1000's of toxic chemicals in our tissues and organs. No one has studied the long term effect of all these chemicals mixing in our bodies.
Soap nuts are an amazing laundry detergent and fabric softener that grows on trees. They clean as good as toxic chemical detergents but are all natural and are non toxic, non polluting and they even cost 2.5 times less. They are available at http://www.greenvirginproducts.com. They have the lowest prices I have found.
Another good web site is http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/splash.php?URI=%2Findex.php. Here you can put in your product and see a list of the toxic chemicals in there and heatth effects.
The only way to make the big corporations change to non toxic ingredients is to stop buying the toxic products.

Soap nuts are fantastic! So easy to use, and you don't need to use fabric softener afterwards either.
