Hi! I have been a vegan for just over a month...YEAH! Loving it, feeling great, lots of energy! My stomach feels so much better and has flattened, the bags under my eyes are gone and I poop everyday (used to be about once a week). Just in the last couple days, I have been soooo hungry!! I feel like I am eating all the time...veggies, grains, beans, meat subsitutes. I can't get full and I feel like I am craving something, but do not know what. I have a little bit of a headache as well. Is this normal?!?!? What can I do to stop the hunger?!?!

I find that I am hungry alot too. I have also realized that when I ate meat (nearly 2 years ago) I was full in a different way. I was full to the point that I was bloated, slightly nauseated and didn't want to move. Now, I am satisified, not bloated full. I do find that I am hungry more often, eat more often as well (and haven't gained weight). This is a shot in the dark: could this have any to do w/ your cycle?

As well, I have notice my under eye darkness has really improved! Other things for stopping hunger are drinking liquids. I never make myself have an X amount of water in a day, but I do try to keep my intake up & that helps at times. (I can tell in the poo department when I haven't had enough water too). Cravings are hard, I find that if I know what I'm craving I just have it (a small amount) or something close to it otherwise I eat a whole bunch of stuff to try and calm the craving!

good luck, enjoy this journey!!

Thank you Laura...I am happy to hear I am not the only one! It is a different full...I feel lighter, less bloated for sure. I was never a big meat eater (never red meat)...mostly chicken and seafood. The big one for me is the cheese and chocolate...I miss them :) I have a feeling that is what I am craving. I am trying not to stray, but maybe a little chocolate won't hurt. Will drink more liquids as well...

Thanks a Bunch!!

To combat choc. cravings I highly recommend making the PB cups from TKD! They are soooo good!! They really hit the craving/sweet spot for me when I first started; I would have cheated a lot if I hadn't had them (another little thing I do sometimes.....i eat a few of the left over chocolate (vegan) chips I have from making the recipe). I really craved cheese too. For about two weeks it was all I could think of (I grew up in the midwest... hello we lived on cheese); now it doesn't even phase me.

The PB cups are awesome. They help my cravings! I would suggest a little more fat in your diet. It might help you feel satisfied.
