Hey everyone, I am just getting started on making some postive changes in my life. A brief background on why is I have been battling a host of medical issues for years and have become fed up with feeling so horrible. I have been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, Hypothyroid, Hashimoto Thyroid, IBS, and am pre-diabetic. I have tried diets such as weight watchers, south beach, and atkins. I haven't had any success on any, and if I did lose weight initially it all came back the second I transitioned out of the "phase 1" portion of the diet. I am ready to adopt a new way of life and this just seems to be the answer I have been searching for. We pollute ourselves every day with the foods we eat, so it's not a shock that we can heal ourselves by changing what we eat. I am so ready to get started! I need to lose a good 50 pounds that has accumulated oved the past 4-5 years. I want to be in great health so that in a year or two my husband and I can start planning a family. I'm tired of taking meds every day, throughout the day. I'm tired of feeling tired! I am going to be blogging my journey on livejournal, so if anyone uses that site feel free to add me "angela_setzer". I'm going to take progression photos and post every day about how things are going. I also have to say, even if I didn't have health issues I would very much desire a diet like this because of how I feel about animals. My husband is picking up the book for me on his way back from work today, and I cannot wait to dig in! I hope to someday have a great success story to post.
