Could someone post the ingredients/recipe for the Cure-All Tea? I'm detoxing, but I got the book from the local library and had to return it. I need to go purchase a copy, but until then would someone post this for me?

Thanks so much!

Hi Jamie
Here's the recipe:

1 kukicha tea bag (or tea leaves)
1/4-1/2 umeboshi plum, pit removed, chopped into fine pieces
3-5 drops shoyu

STeep tea in one cup boiling water. While the tea steeps, place plum bits into cup and add shoyu. Pour the hot tea over the plum and shoyu. Mix well.

Enjoy!

Thanks Peggy! Have you tried the tea? Sounds a little strange to me, but I'm willing to give it a go. I'm feeling yucky from the detox.

I found all the ingredients & made the tea a little while ago. It was a little strange so I put some Agave in it. How does everyone else like the tea?

Not sure if you want to add agave as it is a simpler sugar. Try brown rice syrup if you need to sweeten. That is a complex sugar. I have not tried, but am getting over a nasty cold, so maybe I will this afternoon. The shoyu adds a touch of saltiness as well as fermentation (like a kombucha). We'll see how it goes with the plum.

I just drink the kukicha tea plain, as I can't seem to find those plums? But yeah, I think the kukicha tastes great.

I'm drinking my first cup right now - definitely going to be an aquired taste, but perhaps next time I'll start just with the kukicha.

I love this tea! I know its kind of salty and strange at first but eventually it becomes comforting and lovely.

Did anyone became nauseous after drinking the tea? I was actually fine till I drank the tea, & I drank it after breakfast. I made the tea for my husband who actually threw up because he drunk it on an empty stomach. Alicia should have mentioned that this tea you should drink with food. Anyone else had an adverse reaction? Also, after you brew the tea (instructions say 4 minutes), do I discard the tea bag or could I leave it in the tea cup?

Hmm . . . I have not experienced this, and I have had it on an empty stomach. It may be that the taste os too strong for you right now. Perhaps just start with the kukicha, and later add shoyu? You can also reduce the amount of shoyu you use. I do find just plain kukicha to be very balancing.
