I started thinking of becoming a vegetarian again after seeing Food Inc. For several years I was a vegetarian but got away from it because I was getting lazy. Hard to be a vegetarian when you live in a house full of meat eaters. Here I am 4 years later, almost 50 pounds overweight. I suffer from heatburn, acid reflux, tired all the time, frequent headaches, high blood pressure and back problems.
After seeing Alisia on Oprah last Thursday made me decide to become a vegetarian again and as close to vegan as I can get. Friday I was on my way.
It only took 3 days and I already felt better. I just feel lighter. My headaches are gone. No more heartburn, yay!!. Got on the scale yesterday and noticed I have lost 7 pounds!! Decided to check my blood pressure this morning and it too is down. The lowest I have seen it since I found out I have high blood pressure. Sitll have a bit to go but I think it will be back to a normal state soon.
Today I also have up the coffee. Been drinking the half and half Folders for a couple of months now so it was not nearly as painful as I thought it would be.
Feeling great and I can't wait to start cooking recipes from the book which I just received in the mail. Woo hoo!
