Okay, somehow what we are supposed to do for my own birthday has been left up to me. Nice, I know, right? Anyway, I do not want to go out to eat, it is just frustrating, and I do not live in an area that is very diverse in food choices, so I usually just cook at home.
I, also, do not like bars or the party scene (I have a slight social anxiety). I was thinking about some type of spa day, but that is too expensive. I would love to go skydiving, but that is something a little farther out in the future for planning. I need some ideas. If I can't come up with something I will just be at home for another boring day. It is nice b/c my Great Dane, Junah, will be 8 on Saturday (my 30th is on Friday). I will be baking him his own special cake anyway on Saturday, but I also wanted to spend it celebrating my bday too.
Anyway, after being long winded, do you have any suggestions????

how many people are you planning this for and what ages? does it have to be kid friendly?

just a handful...4-5 if I get my way...no, it does not have to be kid-friendly.

have a make your own pizza party! make some great vegan crust, and provide a ton of fun toppings, get gourmet about it! have artichokes, sundried tomatoes, pinapples, vegan cheese, kale, peppers, onions, and other standbys, varieties of olives give a nice bite, nutritional yeast flakes, homeade pesto, the "cheese sauce" I found on this site is great... get some great vegan wine, make alicia's caesar salad, and have the vanilla cupcakes from babycakes cookbook. depending on where you live, you could make it more fun by grilling the pizza too.

Hot air balloon ride! You can charter them, and I hear it's amazing. It's kind of a laid-back version of sky-diving ;)

Happy bday!
