This vegan yourney is for me discovering how easy you can make your own things... As a vegetarean i used to buy everything made and ready. Mainly because I thought it would be difficult.
Now as i flirting vegan I am discovering that it is not so difficult at all! I was always thinking i was a toad in the kitchen, now slowly slowly i am discovering I can be the princess! ;)

Today I made for the first time my own veganaise! So easy!

I will show you ;)

Thanks to them so much!
Have fun, oh for all of you on a budget this is much much cheaper!

My own opions were that the veganaise is a little sweet so you might want to lessen the sweetness ( i put maple sirope) and added much more mostard...
Experiment for yourself!
Enjoy!!!!

250 ml zonnebloemolie/ sunflower oil
1 el appelazijn/ (apple)vinegar ( i used herbvinegar)
1 tl mosterd
1 of 2 tl zeezout/ seasalt
1 of 2 tl agavestroop/ agave sirope

I'm going to try this soon, but I whole-heartedly agree with you about making your own food. I'm about to venture to make my own bread out of whole grains, my own vegan pasta AND my own catchup with no sugar (my friend can't eat white sugar). It's so much fun and I'm always excited to share my food with people who aren't vegan to show them how yummy the vegan life can be.

Hi Axa - I FINALLY tried the veganaise recipe and I think I have taken over from you as "toad in the kitchen". Maybe it was because I used coconut milk instead of soya but the mixture just wouldn't emulsify. There was some discussion about milk in the video, and I think I understood that fresh milk couldn't be used (my Dutch is non-existent!) but I couldn't understand if there is something specific about soya milk . . . will try again . . . must do better :-(

Owwwwwwwww sorry to hear... I dont know why it wouldn't work with coconutmilk,,, i listened to the video again and she states that it doesn't work with other plantmilk because of the typical fatness of the soymilk...

defenetely try again, it is so good! I make it all the time, i use no agavesirope though and put a little more vinegar and mustard as I like the sour taste... Mjammie!

Enjoy and let me know how it works next time with the soymilk :)))))

Axa, You've been promoted to Kitchen Queen - and I am the new princess! I made the veganaise with soya milk today and it worked a treat - yum yum! (Maybe you might want to edit your recipe above to say that you can't substitute another plant milk for the soya?) I added a little white pepper to mine which made it extra tasty to me.Here's another recipe I tried that worked well today:http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Baked-Kale-Chips/Detail.aspxHappy vegan cooking! :D
