Nice! Does it taste a bit like the real thing? I think I will try it sometime.

Marjon, I wish I could tell you, but we don't have real Vegenaise for sale here in London! This is better than the vegan mayo substitute that I have tried. And the texture is fantastic. Good luck!

It does not exactly taste like mayonaise, but I really love it, and with adding more sweet or more vinegar you can personalise it! I love the creaminess of it. I am really happy with it as I was a real mayonaise addict! ;)

Thanks! I'll have to try. I love Veganaise, but it is sooo expensive for what you get.

Yes here in Holland it so expensive too, also with this recipe you can adjust the taste to your liking, make it more creamy-sweetly or more spicey, more sour, whatever you like!

I keep it in an airtight glas jar/container and every batch i used was finished before i noticed it went bad :)

Because it has oil, vinegar it should last quite some time as these where used in keeping food from going bad long before we had refrigerators :)))

Here is another recipe that is soy free, haven't tried it yet, but will tonight maybe.

Homemade Mayonnaise Recipe - Vegan Mayonnaise Recipe

Makes ¾ cup mayonnaise

½ cup soaked almonds (soak almonds for 8 hours)
½ cup purified water
Juice ½ lemon
3/4 tablespoon agave
½ tablespoon raw apple cider vinegar
1/8 teaspoon dry mustard
½ teaspoon sea salt
½ to 2/3 cup olive oil

Place all the ingredients for your homemade mayonnaise recipe in a heavy duty blender except the olive oil. Puree the ingredients until very smooth. With blender still in motion, slowly pour a thin stream of olive oil through the opening in your blender's cover. Continue to puree until you reach the right consistency. Taste and adjust flavors to your liking.
