water filters

has anybody done any research on them to find the best and affordable one?

I use Pure filters. Consumer Reports had a great rating on them. I moved to a place with really bad water. They last 1/2 the time they used to last, which makes me feel good. That means they are working! I know the Brita pitcher also got a good rating. I like having one connected to the sink and they are easy to replace. When I find the filters on sale, I buy a whole bunch.
