WOW! it's so great to hear all this! i have been vegetarian since November 4th and i still go through phases where i will just be plain HUNGRY. it always seems to pass after a couple of days but at least once i month i feel immense hunger no matter what or how much i eat.
i also have a lot more frequent visits to the restroom but i noticed that my body seems to act up more when i have been eating more unhealthy - such as going out for meals rather than cooking at home. everytime i eat out i almost immediately have to go to the bathroom! maybe that's tmi but it's true!

My update: for the last few days, I have felt like I am right on the verge of coming down with a cold. A not-quite-there sort of sore throat, an urge to cough that doesn't really feel like I ought to have to do, some really weird post nasal drip symptoms. Could just be coincidence because the pollen is out like mad here, or I could have picked up a little bug that my body is fighting. Not sure. And I prob jinxed myself with saying how well I was sleeping. LOL! I keep waking up having to pee, like three times a night! Never used to do that, ever.

Is this all in line with detox? I'm going 100% vegan, though not superhero at the moment. Still feel great, and LIGHT, like I lost ten pounds or something, though clearly the scale tells a different story. I like light. :-)

I have been meat free for about 10 days and the last 2 days I felt very weak and got chills. It felt like what I would imagine it feels like to come of a drug habit, so I assume my body was detoxing. Didn't really eat much the last two days and took it easy, even managed to get a massage in. Today I woke up feeling better with more of an appetite, ended up having miso soup for breakfast just cause it sounded good. Also feel the need to eat lots of healthy food today... yay. Still eating dairy, but I am cutting down. I made the cheesecake from TKD this weekend, but think I need to make some changes to it - I did like the lighter taste of it without the heavy cow dairy and I think I needed to increase the 'butter' amount of it because the crust came apart (the 'butter' was hard so I had a hard time measuring it).

I am still flirting with vegan. I have been 100% meat free for 2 months now an I don't eat obvious dairy like milk, cheese, etc.. but if it is in a recipe I dont stress about. I do feel much lighter now if I could only get the exercising in. I need motivation!!! and time!!!

It is great to read that you like dexoting because I am thinking about doing the detoxing thing. I read that people feel very happy and healthy afterwards although it is not easy ... I think it could be a nice support in my whole live-chaning-program and I think it could be a benefit to detox the body once or if I like it maybe more often.

I would like to read some experiences of you and some advises for those who try dexoting the first time.

Hi :) I'm trying out the vegan diet. I've been vegetarian for 7 months, and last week stopped eating eggs and dairy, as well as refined sugars, and gluten. I'm also trying feebly to give up coffee. Along with a constant mild headache, I'm experiencing pain in my upper back and chest. Does this sound like detox? Has anyone else had this upperback / chest pain?

New here! Notes on withdrawal to compare please:
Been meat and mostly dairy free for two weeks (will eat items w/ butter or sauce, or a taste of daughter's ice cream!). All was well, a little acne, no biggie, and then BAM--major chills, shaking like when I came off of post cesarian medication. SO glad I'd read the small section in TKD about withdrawal, and that I recognized the feeling, so I could suggest to hubby that he not call 911. It ended 45 min later (after the hottest shower I've ever taken and 3 wool blankets).
It's now 3 days later and I've been terribly bloated, not hungry, and also had (TMI, I know) the runs for two days. I really don't think I'm sick; energy and everything else fine. After reading others' comments I wonder if "going to the bathroom a lot" is a euphemism for this? I'm not talking lovely little poops here--this is more like don't be more than a minute away from a restroom.
Someone on the "Am I detoxing" forum noted that they've cut back on soy products, re: bathroom usage. I did eat a rockin', large lunch involving plenty 'o soy at a vegan place in NY the day after the night of chills... wonder if that could have set me off?

Hi ladies! Glad to see everyone is doing good on the new life style. I am still flirting with being a vegetarian.
I have one question about the carrot-daikon drink. Are you suppose to just drink the juice after it's cooked or all the pulp as well?
Thanks!

I've been meat & dairy free with the small exception of a very small piece of salmon a couple of days ago. Every day I feel lighter, healther, and have an overall postive energy. However, today I have a slight sore throat and feel achy. Has the detoxing process caught up with me finally? Any suggestions would be great. Is this normal and how long will a detox process take?
