Hi,
has anyone tried 'physique 57' workout. The have released some dvd's. Kelly Ripa swears by this. I just wondered if anyone had any feedback, is it worth trying?

Helly,

I teach a class that is similar to this called Bar Method! You should give it a try, you will either love or hate it...I am guessing you'll love it and then get addicted to it! You will discover muscles you never knew you had!!

the thing is i was diagnosed with a type of arhtritis AS and gt it pretty bad. i'm very much recovered and can get on with things normally, but too much leg work and pounding might agrivate something and they all seem to focus on legs more than anything . I have really naturally slender (skinny) and toned legs and butt, it's my arms and specifically my tummy and love-handles i need to kick into shape. Also is it hard? i buy some fitness dvds, and find i can't do them - like tracy anderson cardio...just not going to happen!

Sorry it took me so long to write back. The Bar Method is low impact and focuses on your core the entire hour. I'm not sure about physique 57? I hear it's super intense, which might not work for you. You should check out our website www.thebarmethod.com you can order the dvd's! Check it out and let me know what you think!

I take the physique 57 classes (got a series of classes as a gift) and they are intense, and life changing.

For you, I would suggest old school Callanetics, which I think are the BEST in the world. Yes, the older videos are from the 80's and look like an American Apparel study, but I tell you they are genius and will change your body in about 10 hours worth of workouts. Try the 10 in 10 DVD- you can get it on Amazon. I can't say enough good things about Callanetics.
