I think the only way to go is stainless steel, a high-quality one. They're pretty expensive, that's why I'm putting them on my Christmas and birthday lists. ;-) I have one 2-qt stainless steel saucepan, and 1 big soup pot, but that's it. I use those as much as I can. As far as I know that's the only pot/pan that doesn't have a chemical coating on it or anything bad.
