Hello Alicia and everyone at Kind Life,

Just a little intro from me...my name is Cari, I live in beautiful BC, Canada and I own and run a recipe site called www.canigettherecipe.com. Just this past week, I received a review copy of A Kind Diet and was instantly intrigued. I am a mom of 2 young boys, aged 3 and 5, & I have always made a concious effort to feed them heathy, wholesome meals. Processed foods are usually encountered at friends' houses & sugar is something I try to keep to a min. Anyway, since I work in the recipe, cooking and writing world plus I beleive what you eat has a direct correlation to your health, the book grabbed me. You see, my father passed away 2 years ago from a really wierd type of cancer (1 in a million they say) at the young age of 63. When I read about the few studies quoted regarding cancer and dairy an idea popped into my head. Could I introduce more vegan meals into my family`s life and have them accept and enjoy them as much or more as our usual fare? As a person who loves her greek yogurt could I handle no dairy? And yes, I love a good burger, a vegetable frittata and roast chicken...could I leave those food items behind too? So here is what I am doing! I am going to go vegan for a month and I am going to use Kind Diet as my main recipe source! My kids and hubbie will also be part of the experiment, although in bits and pieces as young kids and meat loving husbands do not do well with sudden change :-) I will be documenting and writing about my experiences the whole month on my personal blog, www.caricooks.com, starting this Monday. And you know what? I am really looking forward to it! So thank you for the book and I hope you have a chance to check out my writing as I putter along with this vegan experiment. Who knows what might happen? I may be converted...

From another BC'er Good Luck, you will love it. I have been a vegan since June but in December when I read TKD my senses woke up and the food I am eating is so exciting and great, I almost get on a high.
Check out my blog for recipes that I have tried and really liked.
