My husband and I are heading out on an Alaskan cruise in about 5 wks. I'm a little nervous about it ... who would think food would be a worry on a cruise?! I made sure to book the special meal plan as a vegan ... but I'm worried the cruiseline will not differentiate between vegetarian & vegan. I'm going to call to double check but still ... really worried I will go hungry while on board. Crazy!

Do any of you have experience cruising while vegan? Did you bring your own snacks?

I'm planning on doing a little research and seeing if any of the ports of calls have vegan restaurants to visit while on shore ... so that should be kind of cool.
