Hi all!
I'm a newbie to this, and not yet fully vegan, but every day am getting more and more passionate about all this! I'm a total foodie, a bit of a gourmet perhaps, because I love cooking and I love good food. I used to be a religious food network watcher and have missed being able to watch it these past few weeks... There's nothing I can cook! Besides, most of it makes me sick to watch now.
So.. I just emailed them requesting that they start developing vegan shows that include yummy, interesting vegan food. It's my hope that the more of this type of thing that shows up on TV the more people will see that vegan food is not scary, and that they, too could make a meal, a day, or more vegan.
If any of you would like to have this kind of programming, please email them too! The more people who ask the more they will see a market for it. And BTW, if anyone does know of such shows that I can find on cable, please share! Thanks :)

Great idea! I would watch a show like that. It would be great if Alicia and her husband were the hosts! My husband and I film and edit videos for the web and would love to help you film videos for your site Alicia. We live near Malibu. Let me know if you ever need any filming or editing. I love your book and have been telling all my friends about it. The recipes are great. I am feeling so much better!

MossyG - I'm a bit of a foodie too, I still watch some of the shows on Food Network, you can take most of the recipes and substitute vegan products such as tofu, seitan. I enjoy some shows still as inspiration for vegan versions to make at home!

I sent them a message about 6 months ago after finishing Alicia's book. I still like watching Food Network to see what recipes I can veganize!

I love the Food Network and while there aren't a lot of vegan-centric shows, I have seen a lot of shows that have had "veg friendly" recipes.

Also, I watch it to challenge myself. If I see a recipe I like, I figure out a way to make it vegan. :)

Many of the Emeril Green shows on Planet Green are vegetarian/vegan. I just check ahead and record the vegetarian/vegan ones.

I love the food network, but I watch it with my hands ready to cover my eyes should the need arise! I mostly love the food network challenge when they make the amazing cakes but it would be so great to have a vegan cooking show :)

On Veria there is a show called Naturally Delicious and the host in Ann Gentry, who owns Real Food Daily restaurants in CA. I can't wait to go to one the next time I make a trip there, because the menu looks amazing! But anyway, she calls all of her dishes "vegetarian" but I am fairly certain everything's vegan, at least from what I've seen. Everything she makes looks amazing and I love watching her show more now than anything on Food Network, which I used to love too!
