Thanks for clearing that up,Lesley ! :-)

I am just in the early stages of full Candida diagnosis and treatment,I mean nearly all the die off symptoms are gone, within a matter of days! I'm so grateful and I think it's my diet and mindset on it as well.I've started taking garlic pills and chlorophyll and pau d'arco,I couldn't get oregano oil down more than once!

I know that I'm super sensitive, even have reactions to nuts! so I have to be really cautious, and Kombucha has only made me light headed, hyper active and intense sugar high and crash.I vowed not to have it for my body's sake! I just cannot handle sugars that well...wheat? no way ever again!

Thanks!

Namaste,

Tajna

Tajna,

Organic, unrefined coconut oil is also VERY good for you whether you have Candidiasis or not. It is anti- fungal and antimicrobial and is good a for a multitude of uses. I eat 3 tablespoons a day and I can see a difference in my skin and nails. I cook with it, use it as a moisturizer, use it in place of butter on veggies... Here is a link in case you're not familiar with it's benefits. :) http://www.organicfacts.net/organic-oils/organic-coconut-oil/health-benefits-of-coconut-oil.html .

Thanks Lesley and Tajna, was looking into Kombucha the other day, but think I will give it a miss now! I'm pretty sure my Candida has gone, but am interested in introducing feremented veggies and kefir to give my gut a little boost. Do you know if it's possible to make Kefir from shop bought Coconut water?

I don't see why not Vicki i have had no problems fermenting store bought coconut water kefir before. I usually just go with plain water kefir myself though.

Kefir is amazing at repopulating the gut flora, remember prebiotic fibers too though such as rice bran, these are possibly even more important than probiotics as they are what stimulate the activity and feed the gut flora.

Thanks, powerlifer. My coconut water has arrived and I can't wait to get started! I'm also planning to rope my Mum into helping me make lots of cultured veggies next week! I'm pretty hot on eating prebiotics already, so hopefully this will be the start of a beautiful relationship with my gut!

Best of luck :), i try to support my gut health all year round with good diet, fermented foods, bitter herbs, sometimes DGL licorice, L-glutamine and prebiotics.
