Challah-macrobiotic style

I make challah for my family every week for Shabbat. I usually use 1/2 white flour and 1/2 wheat flour. I'm now attempting to make it 100% whole wheat. This is the one time all week that myself (and my family) eat yeasted bread.
I cut out the eggs a couple weeks ago using ener-G replacer and it worked well.
But I'm still looking for a nice, hearty, bread similar to challah. Any suggestions?
