I just wanted to say thanks for that recommendation. I've been looking into Holistic Nutrition Lab for awhile and Andrea's course seems like it's right down my alley. I love supplementing my IIN education with these kinds of targeted programs. I'll definitely be in touch with you or Janna soon!

To everyone waiting for an IIN scholarship, your time has come!

Current students just received word that we can give away scholarships totalling up to $800 to anyone who enrolls between Monday, March 26 and Thursday, March 29. Enrolling during these days will automatically cut your tuition by $300 and paying the remainder of your tuition upfront (instead of opting into one of IIN's generous payment plans) will cut the cost by another $500. Woohoo!

Can someone tell me that if you need to have a degree to be a certified health coach, or if you go through IIN does that give you everything you need to become one? I have always been interested in becoming a Health Coach but with a famiy you tend to put them first. Well now it is just my husband and I at home and the kids are all grown and gone and I was just given a 90 day layoff plan at work so Jun 22 is my last day so I thought well maybe this is just the right door opening for me to start a new career at 50. I feel that I still have a good 50 yrs left and what a great opportunity, any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Julie! Great question, actually. You don't need any degree to become a certified health coach. One of the (many) beautiful things about the IIN program is that there are NO prerequisites and there is no "typical student." Once you go through the course you will become certified as a Holistic Health Coach, affiliated with the American Association of Drugless Practitioners as a holistic health practitioner, you'll learn all you need to know to reach your own optimum health AND be an effective and successful counselor, and (this was just announced so I'm still excited about it) you will actually earn 40 college credits.

In short, yes, IIN provides EVERYTHING you need to pursue a career as a health coach--the website, business cards, amazing teachers, your own health coach, a supportive community, books, admission to live events, etc. etc. And the benefits of being an alumni are just as powerful.

I'm sorry to hear about the layoff plan but it sounds like this could be the perfect time for you to pursue this lingering dream of yours. Every door that closes leads to an open one!
