Hi my name is Rose and I just started "Flirting",read the book and love it. Im on my 3rd day of the carrot daikon tea and ive scowered the boards on info about it but no one really specifys if you have to have the drink/pulp in the morning or at night.I had it 2 days in the morning and nothing so I switched yesterday to having it 2 hours after my dinner. Anyone got any advice on that.
Thank you muchly
Rose

Ro - here is what I posted to this question in a couple previous threads: re: the pulp, this recipe came from a few macrobiotic sources. I looked at a version of the recipe in "The Macrobiotic Path to Total Health" by Michio Kushi (the recipe is the same except it calls for 1/2 umeboshi plum instead of 1/4), and the instructions say to drink the liquid and eat the veggies.

So even though Alicia left it out of this book, I think it's safe to assume the pulp is supposed to be eaten. Hope that helps!

The only thing I've gathered on that is that you have to take it on an empty stomach. I assume that in the morning when you wake up is ideal but I couldn't make myself do that, except on weekends if I had more time. When I did it, I would have it everyday after work for dinner, and that worked really well. I was usually famished around that time.

The book only specifies that it should be taken on an empty stomach. I imagine that's why folks on here have been mentioning drinking it in the morning (since the stomach is usually empty at that point). I doubt the time of day really matters too much.
