Hello all!
I am fairly new to this lifestyle change, I am still at the flirting stage, but have given up all chicken, beef and pork. It has been about 2 1/2 weeks now and I am really starting to notice a change, I am feeling so much better!
I have been told that giving up sugar would be extremely beneficial for me, however I think this will be extremely hard for me to do.
Can anyone reccomend something I can replace sugar with, something that is not terrible for me, or that tastes bad?

Alicia's book says that cinnamon could work. I just bought some earlier today myself. I spooned some out and tasted it straight. It's too spicy. But maybe it's a good alternative in some dishes and drinks like coffee. Give it a try.

Alicia's book also writes about using maple syrup. She seems rather iffy about honey because potential harsh treatment to the bees. Vegans apparently don't think honey is a vegan food.

There are two sugar alternatives I like.
1) Agave Nectar, it has a similar consistency of honey but not as sweet, and it is plant based.
2) Truvia, which is granulated and comes from a plant also.
I use both of these depending on which consistency I want and I really like them both.
