Okay ladies I need your advice!

I'm sixteen and im new to the diva cup. I just started my period for this month a few days ago. Getting the cup in isnt a problem but getting it out is a whole different story. It seems like it doesnt want to come out. When i pull on the stem it comes out, but then if i let go for a second to adjust it goes back up again. It takes awhile to get it out and sometimes it feels like its just stuck. I tried to just keep the stem sitting on the outside and thats fine but it slides up. Another problem is that it leaks! I've taken it out about four times now each time about two hours apart because it has leaked. I'm not sure if I'm doing it wrong or what because i put it in the triangle way and i rotate it to make sure the cup has opened up and its fine for a while then maybe an hour or two later i leak. Btw, when taking it out every two hours because it has leaked i find that it is only at the 1/4 oz line. What advice can you give me? This is the reason why i didnt like tampons they would leak and the string would have blood on it but when i took it out the tampon was often half empty (white).
