This week's soup is so good I have to post...

"No-Beef" broth base, barley, lentils, carrots, collard greens, green onions, cubed sweet potatoes, minced onions, garlic, rosemary( just a little bit so as not to overwhelm the soup) and arame(soaked and boiled down with shoyu, see pg. 259 in TKD).

It came out better than I was expecting. Way better.

Oh yeah, put a bit of the sweet potato. It makes the soup.

Okay, so I just finished making my soup, and it's fantastic! I'm sure our recipes worked out differently, but it is definitely yum!
Thanks for an awesome recipe!
I love trying out all these new foods! I used to rely pretty heavily on fast food and now I LOVE these kind of recipes!

Glad you liked it. I didn't make any soup this weekend ( bad me!) but I have plans for one. I'm kind of a throw things in the pot, a pinch of this a pinch of that kind of person. If I had to write down an official recipe I wouldn't know how much of anything to put.

OMG, Michelle, you know I'm the same way, girl - ya seen my recipes on here - LOL! ESPECIALLY when it comes to soups, that's the beauty part, they're SO forgiving and fun...
