separate forum for food allergies

love the site- have been vegan forever but recently dx with multiple food allergies and to find all the helpful info had to scroll through 85% non-food allergy stuff to get to the 15% of the people posting about food allegies - there is one heading "illness and allergy" (or vice versa!!!), and I am wondering if it would be possible to have an "illness" category AND also a separate "food allergy" category - rather than lumping them both together. It seems there are a lot of us food insensitive folk out there, and since wheat and soy top the list of common allergy/sensitivity being vegan without these things is quite a challenge and it would be great to narrow down where to look for advice/support/suggestions - thanks for entertaining my suggestion!!!
Good thinking!
So I'm interested in gluten free diets, and was wondering if I would need one. Sorry if it's to much info, but I've had a ton of gas lately, could that be a symptom of a wheat allergy? Any help would be appreciated!
....and I just flagged this discussion as inappropriate in a spastic computer move! whoops! I can't seem to take it back so....feel free to start fighting and cussin'g like pirate on this flagged inappropriate thread! let it all out here!
Yay! this is great! Our family has a list of combined allergies that includes: cane sugar, corn, soy, chocolate, dairy, artificial sweeteners and colors... shopping used to be so exhausting, but the more superhero we eat the easier the store visits are. Of course, the kids like a few goodies here and there, so I still have to comb ingredients on some boxes.
Oh it would definitely be wonderful if there was a Food Allergy category on here.I try to limit Wheat and Gluten in my diet, it truly makes my body feel better to run with only minimal amounts. I also try to limit the amount of Soy I eat. I am very worried about to much Soy consumption. And when I do eat Soy I try to make sure to eat only the best available, organic preferred.
