Well I have been dancing on the fence of this whole thing for a week now...finished the book today and made my first vegan baked good tonight! I made the vegan cupcakes from the book...the taste was interesting...I am so use to sugar cupcakes I need to get use to these new tastes. I want to make a vanilla version...so I am going to check out the book: Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World. I don't know if I really like the taste of the blue agave nectar...I bought the amber color agave there is also a light version but I am guessing the taste is somewhat the same...has anyone made vegan cupcakes with a sweetener that wasn't the blue agave?

Thanks smiley-wink.gif Katie

I make the cupcakes from the babycakes cookbook with the amber colored agave - they are not only vegan but wheat free....and taste just as good as a "regular" cupcake! made the carrot cupcakes from there this weekend and those were just as good - again with the amber agave - good luck!

Awesome! I love Vegan treats!

I recently bought Organic Blue Agava Nectar but I haven't used it yet. When I do I'll let you know what I think. I also recently bought a brand of pretzels that has organic blue agave in the them and I'm not sure if it's the agava or what but the pretzels are amazing!

Good luck with all your Vegan baking! :-)
